Option 1: In the app
- Open the Blood Near Me app and sign in.
- Open Settings.
- Tap Delete my account and confirm.
Your account is deleted straight away.
Option 2: On the website
- Sign in at bloodnearme.org.
- Go to Account, then Delete account.
- Confirm with your password or a code we send you.
Your account is deleted straight away.
Option 3: Can't sign in? Send a request
Enter the phone number or email on your account. To protect you, we'll contact you on the details already on that account to confirm it's really you, then delete it within 7 days.
You can also email help@bloodnearme.org from the email on your account.
What gets deleted
- Your profile: name, phone number, email, address, gender and profile photo
- Your donor listing, blood group, location and availability
- Your blood requests and donation records
- Your eligibility check-in answers and consents
- Notification settings and the devices registered for alerts
- WhatsApp chat history with our bot
Deleting your account also signs you out on every device.
What we keep, and for how long
- Feedback you sent and some activity logs are kept with your name and contact details removed, so they can no longer be linked to you.
- Copies in our secure backups are removed automatically as the backups expire.
- Limited records we are required to keep by law, as described in our Privacy Policy.
